In this demo, a Coke bottle is filled with water and a card is placed over the open end. The bottle is inverted and the card held in place until all of the air in the bottle is captured in the bottom end of the bottle. The card will now stay in place without aid. This demonstrates that the air pressure outside the bottle is greater than the pressure of the water, holding the card in place.
