Neodymium Glass
From UO Physics Demonstration Catalog
Return to Spectral Lines
Description:
Set up the holographic diffraction grating with a slit paper and an overhead projector to obtain the white light spectrum. (See Light: Diffraction Grating) A pair of Neodymium glasses, commonly used by glass blowers, is placed over a slit on the overhead projector. Yellow lines in the spectrum will be absorbed by the glasses.
