Return to Ideal Gas Law

Description:

A balloon is placed in liquid nitrogen. As it cools it collapses to a very small size. (Liquid air in the balloon is observable to students in the first rows.) The balloon is placed on the table and it dances around as it inflates due to the air heating up. Use caution when handling liquid nitrogen! Use gloves and goggles, and do NOT pour extra liquid nitrogen down the sink.
