Description:

A spring loaded projectile launcher is pointed at a target or Garfield hanging from a height h above the floor or table. (You can imagine Garfield is in a tree and someone want to get his attention and hit him with a ball). Garfield decided that as soon as the ball leaves the launcher he hill let go and fall and the ball will go over his head. The ball is launched towards the target, and as it leaves it passes through a detector that tells Garfield to let go (which actually cuts power to an electromagnet holding the target or Garfield.). The ball hits the target as it falls showing that both fall at the same rate. This is also available on video tape and can be shown in slow motion. (This used to be called the Monkey and the Hunter, Later days, Garfield was substituted since cartoon and comic characters survive slapstick encounters, Or we now have a target to avoid any controversy.)
