Liquid Light Pipe
From UO Physics Demonstration Catalog
Return to Geometrical Optics
Description:
A laser is positioned so its beam is pointing at a small hole in the side of a plastic container. When the stopper to the hole is removed and the water pours out in an arc, the laser light follows the path of the water. NOTE: use a few drops of milk or just a very small amount of milk powder of coffee creamer powder in the water to make the beam show up.
Location:
- Laser: Shelf M-2
- Container: Shelf M-1
