Description:

Use this to show the magnetic field created by a current carrying coil. Mount a permanent bar magnet next to the coil to produce an external field. Apply a small current through the coil and the field of the coil will align with the field or twist away from the magnetic field. depending on the direction of the current.. A laser beam bounced off of the mirror and onto a wall will show small changes in position. The small container holds water to dampen oscillations.. This can also display the basics of an analog meter by incorporating the solenoids on shelf J-1.
