Description:

Set-Up: A Foam lid on the cart to prevent spills. Line up the beakers in order with the heating pot on one side and the dry ice and alcohol solution on the other. (Remember to put just enough fluid in each container so that the Thermometer can fit submerged in each beaker without the beaker over flowing.). Use a scoop and slowly add Dry Ice to the ethanol. (It can easily boil over). The Ice water beaker should be a high ice to water ratio . Plug in heating pot and bring to a boil.

Demo: Use the Absolute Pressure Thermometer. Record the pressure at Room temperature (20C) Then place the ball in the fluids and measure the pressure when it is in Boiling water (100C), Ice water (0C), Dry Ice Alcohol (-80C).
