Description:
Use dry ice and in a fishbowl to create vapor filled bubbles. Place the bowl on top of a glass pan, and balance this on top of one of the color-changing floodlights. Drag a strip of paper towel or cloth soaked in Pustafex bubble mix slowly across the top of the fishbowl, trying to keep it flat. It may take a few tries to get the rim of the bowl soapy enough to form a bubble completely across the top. Be careful not to let too many small bubbles accumulate in the water or around the rim, or else they will cause bubble havoc (see picture on right). Scooping them out with a spoon or beaker works for this.
Location:
- Fishbowl: D-2
- Pustafex: Fume Hood (or just beneath fume hood)
- Floodlight: underneath cart
