Generator--Alternator.gif

Description:

An automobile alternator is driven by hand through a set of pulley's. The magnetic field within the alternator can be self induced or can be induced by an external voltage supply. The output of the alternator is connected to a set of three 12 V light bulbs each of which can be independently turned off or on. As the generator is turned to the point of lighting one of the bulbs, another can be turned on. The turner of the crank will then fell a very pronounced loading of the alternator as the additional light bulb draws more power.
