Description:

Support the ends of a rod or meter stick with your fingers. Slowly move your hands together. Your fingers will meet at the center of mass. Now suspend a mass off of one end of the rod and do it again. Can be done with other objects like a broom. Place some mass on one end of a meter stick and show how the center of mass changes.
