Description:

Light energy and Frequency: Shine a red or green laser on the phosphor board and nothing very exciting happens. Shine a blue of violet laser on the board and it glows and creates and afterimage.. Shows shorter wavelengths have higher energy.

Create images using shadows on the phosphor board. Place your object in front of the board and adjust the distance of the UV flashlight until it casts a crisp shadow. Make a silhouette of your hand on the board. Avoid shining UV light directly in your eyes or others around you and only very short exposure to skin.

Location:

  • Phosphor Board: Wall between sh. K & L
  • UV Flashlight: Sh. G-3
  • Lasers: red tool cabinet Laser Drawer
