Description:
A variable speed motor has is adapted to create a vertical driving motion. A mass on a spring is attached to the driver. Maximum spring motion will occur when the driver is set to have the same frequency as the hanging mass and spring. You can dampen the spring motion if the mass is placed in a graduated cylinder that has water in it.
