Return to Electric Fields and Potential

Description:

Demonstrates Gauss's Law. Slowly lower a small radio playing an AM Radio station into the Faraday Cage and it will become silent. If in a room that am radio signals are not present, generate radio frequency noise with a distant Van de Graaff or the Plasma Sphere.

Location:

  • Cage: Shelf I-4
  • Transistor radio: Shelf K-4
