Rubber Tubing with divisions. Demonstrates the need for standards and stable measuring devices. Measure the width of one end of the lecture table, then slowly stretch the ruler while walking to the other end, causing the measurement to be shorter. Can also demonstrate Relativity length contraction. Stretch the ruler and walk across the room and make the ruler shorter as you speed up.
