Description:
A set of horizontal rods attached to a common torsion wire down their middle. An excellent wave maker. A mechanical driver with variable frequency and amplitude, a dampening device, and a node maker (for changing boundary conditions) are available. Several different varieties -- two with different widths to show wave speed depends on mass one with a changing width to couple the two different widths together with impedance matching. Optional UV strip to make dots on the end of each rod glow so you can see the wave traveling with room lights off for a dramatic effect.
