Description:
A high voltage transformer has two aluminum rods attached to it. The distance between the rods is tapered narrow at the bottom and wide at the top. Breakdown occurs at the bottom and then the spark rises due to the heated air. A new spark starts at the bottom when previous spark reaches the top. The sparks will ignite a piece of paper placed between the rods for added effect.
Safety Alert. High Lethal Voltage: Plug into foot switch or other momentary contact switch so power is only applied when switch is depressed. Do not touch rods when energized.
