Description:

This produces a large supply of static charge by induction. Rub the bottom teflon plate insulator with fur and the teflon will become negatively charged.. Place the metal disk onto the charge teflon. Negative charges in the plate will move to the top on the plate. Touch the top of the plate, and the negative charges will go to ground through you. Remove the metal plate and the plate will now be positively charged since the electrons have left the plate Touch the metal plate and you will hear it discharge.. The last steps can be repeated a number of times, providing a continual source of static charge since the teflon is an insulator, negative charges on the teflon plate do not move easily,
