A graduated cylinder is filled with water. Within the water is an inverted open test tube with just enough air in it to keep it afloat. When the rubber diaphragm over the top of the cylinder is depressed, increasing the pressure within the cylinder,  the test tube sinks and returns when the diaphragm is released.

Description:
