Return to Oscillations
Description:
Great demonstration for resonance. A wine glass is setup in an enclosure. The resonant frequency of the glass is first found by placing a Ping-Pong ball in the glass and adjusting the signal generator to find the frequency that causes the most energetic vibration of the Ping-Pong ball. The glass is then set in front of the horn driver. A loud pulse of sound will cause the glass to break.
